Pakistan's tour of Bangladesh has been canceled after the Bangladesh government refused to clear the tour.
Pakistan were scheduled to play two twenty20 internationals and five one-dayers in a series beginning March 10 in Dhaka, but the tour was postponed a day before Pakistan were due to arrive in Dhaka.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board had hoped to convince the government and slot the tour between March 26 and April 10, but the government has refused permission.
Bangladesh is still recovering from the shock of a mutiny at the border security forces camp at Pilkhana which left more than 70 personnel of the Border Rifles forces dead.
"Security still fragile"
"After the Pilkhana events, our national security is not yet full-proof," state minister for sports Ahad Ali Sarkar said.
"Our law enforcement agencies are at the moment hunting rebels wanted for last month's mutiny.
"It is not possible to invite any foreign team in these circumstances."
BCB's media committee chairman Jalal Yunus said the series was only postponed and not entirely cancelled.
"The tour has been postponed again and not cancelled," he said. "We hope to find a slot in November for the series."
