Niki Lauda vs Mario Andrett (Click on the drivers' names to watch their video bios!)

Niki "The SuperRat" Lauda takes on "Super Mario" Andretti.

The Austrian sensation left Jackie Stewart in the dust and he cruised to the quarter-finals of The Greatest, while American legend Andretti dispatched of Emerson Fittipaldi to advance.

A recap of who the two contestants are in Quarter-final 3:

Niki Lauda was the reigning world champion when he was given the last rites by a priest at the trackside after suffering horrendous burns in the 1976 German Grand Prix.

Few ever believed he would race again, yet he was back at the wheel of his Ferrari just six weeks later and only narrowly lost his crown to James Hunt. A year later Lauda became champion again in 1977 and gained a third title in 1984.

Mario Andretti has been a revelation in almost all forms of racing. He is one of only two drivers to win races in the four major motor racing categories: Formula One, IndyCar, World Sportscar Championship and NASCAR, the other being Dan Gurney.

He also won races in midget cars, sprint cars and drag racing. At 68 years old, his still considering contesting the Le Mans 24-Hours, the only major event he hasn't won!

Mika Hakkinen vs Fernando Alonso

"The Flying Finn" is pitted against "El Nano" in Quarter-final 4 of our Formula One - The Greatest competition!

Hakkinen dismantled Juan Manuel Fangio in his first-round bout, while Alonso edged out Narain Karthikeyan for a chance to joust with one of the greatest in modern racing.

Here's something to remind you of who these two are:

Mika Haikkinen was the first first of the 'flying Finns' in F1, and has won two world titles in 1998 and 1999. The McLaren great combined skill, racecraft and remarkable tenacity.

Hakkinen was also Michael Schumacher's greatest rival in what is arguably the golden age of Formula One. The German legend said in interview that Häkkinen is the rival he respected the most during his Formula One career.

Fernando Alonso is probably the most complete Formula One driver of the current generation.

In 2008 his technical feedback and continuous determination transformed Renault from a pretender to a contender once again, and reminded us why Alonso is a double Champion.

However 2007 showed another side to his character. His demeanour during the difficult year at McLaren reminds us that there is more to a true champion than just winning races.
